The work we do at FCCI is only possible because we're all on the same team. FCCI is led by Chairman of the Board, President & CEO Craig Johnson and governed by a Board of Directors. Our Board members represent various industries and include experts in law and human resources, current and former heads of construction, contracting and agribusiness operations, and a former independent insurance agency principal.
Our Executive Officer team helps to steer the course, and our divisions and regions are headed by officers selected for their expertise and achievement. Our Board, Officers and all FCCI teammates adhere to FCCI’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

He began his insurance career in Florida in 1973 as a property adjuster and eventually opened his own agency, Commercial Insurance Marketing, Inc., along with his wife, Nadine. Now retired from the agency, Mike was asked to join the FCCI Board of Directors. His wealth of industry knowledge and understanding of FCCI’s legacy make him a dynamic addition to our Board.See the full story
Tess Vaessen is a Digital Strategy Analyst with FCCI. As a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a BS in Marketing, Tess interned at FCCI for four months in 2014. She worked in various departments, including Marketing and Insurance Operations. After her internship, Tess was hired on as an Operations Support Representative. A year later, she joined the Corporate Communications department as a Communications Associate. Always eager to accept new challenges, she joined the Digital Team in 2017.
Tess exemplifies our core values and commitment to customer service. In addition to her work, she gives back to the community as a volunteer on our United Way committee, helping plan fundraisers, skits and events each year. She also participates in FCCI's Toastmasters Club and promotes membership in the club.
As a founding member and president of the Young Professionals Club of FCCI, Tess is ambitious and contributes her ideas for improvement. She epitomizes an important part of our culture — encouraging teammates to get involved and seek growth opportunities in their careers.
Fall Fest is a very special time of giving at FCCI. In each region, teammates come together to participate in games, golf tournaments, costume contests and charitable FUN-draising efforts for the FCCI Charitable Foundation. The Foundation disperses money to nonprofit organizations that are focused on improving the lives of people in need.
Fall Fest is led by a committee of dedicated teammates who ensure the success of these charitable events. Even our FCCI Officers get in the game by performing skits for teammates, donating prizes for raffle items, and serving at a special luncheon for teammates..
The giving spirit of FCCI teammates, affliates and vendors makes this a special time of year at FCCI and produces great results in our communities!
Building insurance partnerships means building a strong team that includes the policyholder, agent, underwriters, risk control consultants and claim representatives.
Our teammates and agents work together to see the bigger picture and create better outcomes for policyholders. We offer additional services for eligible policyholders such as our TeamWorks! program that brings all members of the insurance team together in person. Our Risk Control teammates also work closely with policyholders at their place of business, looking for opportunities to improve safety and mitigate risks. The way we work sets FCCI apart from other carriers.
