Loss Reporting

In managing claims and claim costs, one rule remains constant. The sooner a claim is reported, the lower the claim cost can be. FCCI makes it convenient for a policyholder or an agent to report a claim 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can report a loss by phone, fax, mail, or e-mail. In addition, ExpressClaim, FCCI’s online claim reporting center, allows customers with Internet access to report a new claim or view the status of an open claim at anytime.

In addition, FCCI negotiates fees on hospital bills, uses Healthesystems/Benescript Services for discount pricing on all prescription drugs, and partners with Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs) for contract discounts in all states. In 2005, our efforts resulted in over 50% savings for the policyholder.

Medical Case Management
FCCI's medical case managers are Registered Nurses with multiple years of professional experience in care coordination and utilization review, as well as various clinical specialties. When a worker suffers an injury or illness on the job, care and attention for the injured employee is FCCI's number one priority. Using cost management strategies, our nurses ensure that the most appropriate and timely medical treatment is coordinated to achieve optimal outcomes for the restoration of function and return to work.

FCCI’s Medical Selectsm Workers’ Compensation Provider Network and Freedom Selectsm Auto Direct Repair Program are online provider listings that allow the policyholder to quickly locate qualified medical providers or auto repair facilities that are within convenient driving distance of their workplace or home. All providers are carefully pre-screened and periodically reviewed by FCCI to ensure quality service and reduced claim costs.
